Running for Madi's Chemo and Recovery
Donation protected
Recently, I signed up to partake in the Pittsburgh Marathon. When you go to sign up, there are options of charities that you can try to fundraise for. Being the skeptical person I am, I thought, how do I even know a dollar of what I raised would go to what it says? Another thought I had was, although every charity option was incredibly important, I'd like to donate to a different cause that was not an option.
My best friend Madi was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer this past October. After having a double mastectomy and lymph nodes removed, she is now finishing her last round of chemo. I would love to make this a fundraiser to help my best friend get back on her feet. I'd ideally like to help with the bills and treatment costs she has been dealing with. There is no amount too small, and certainly no amount too big. I invite anyone who donates 25 cents or 25 thousand dollars to pick a song for me to run to during the upcoming marathon. I'd also like to personally, from the bottom of my heart, thank anyone who donates or just keeps my friend in their prayers.
