Running for Lily

On November 18th 2019 our beautiful daughter Lily was born prematurely, weighing one pound and three ounces. Tragically Lily only lived for a very short time. There are no words that can truly describe the pain and loss that we feel. We are utterly heartbroken.
Today, March 10th 2020, should have been Lily's due date. To mark this incredibly painful day we have decided to do something positive and to launch our fundraising page.
On November 15th 2020 we will both be running the San Francisco Marathon to raise money for charities which support research into preterm birth. Liam will also be running the marathon on 8th August 2020. To honour Lily's homes in both the US and the UK we have chosen two charities reflecting this.
Borne and March of Dimes are both amazing charities that fund cutting-edge research on the causes and prevention of premature births. By donating to these charities you will be accelerating scientific research to save babies lives and to prevent babies like Lily from being born too early.
Lily fought hard to survive her birth and to live for the time that she did. We are going to use her fighting spirit and your donations to help us complete this hilly and gruelling marathon. Every pound/dollar raised is a step closer to preventing these tragedies from happening.
