Running for Leukaemia
Hi I’m Karen and I’m running my 1st marathon on Sunday 29th October 2023 . I have been delaying setting up this page wanting to make sure I’m definitely going to be able to do it but with a week to go I can’t delay any longer!
I have chosen to run for a brilliant Northern Irish based charity, Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI in honour of my wonderful mum Vida who has been on treatment for Acute Leukaemia for almost 2years. This treatment is thankfully keeping her leukaemia in remission currently. She is an inspiration with her positive attitude and no fuss mentality to dealing with all the medications and procedures she has to endure.
I would be very grateful for any donation you could make to help me support this worthy charity. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI is the only charity in Northern Ireland dedicated to blood cancer research. Their mission is to improve survival rates and quality of life for all blood cancer patients by supporting clinicians, scientists and students researching these diseases.
