This September, Leon’s family are participating in the Vitality London 10,000 in loving memory of Leon Thorn, and in support of Action Duchenne — a charity dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

We said goodbye to Leon this week after complications during surgery. He lived with Duchenne, but it never defined him. Leon was brave, hilarious, kind, and endlessly determined. A gamer, a thinker, and a quiet fighter, he inspired everyone who knew him.

Leon’s spirit and strength are the reason we are all lacing up our running shoes. We want to honour his life by supporting a cause that fights for better treatments, greater awareness, and a more inclusive future for everyone affected by Duchenne.
