My name is Taylor Lantz, and I am running with Team AFBS in the TCS NYC Marathon to build strength for the Nemaline Myopathy community. My cousin, Greta, lives with NM, a rare muscle disorder that affects breathing, swallowing, and mobility, and watching her courage every day has made this cause deeply personal. I want to use my gifts and every step I take to help her and families like ours find real, effective treatments.
A Foundation Building Strength is the only organization fully dedicated to finding treatments for Nemaline Myopathy. They are leading a historic research effort, managing a major commitment to advance gene therapy and prepare for clinical trials. Knowing 100% of donations go directly to research gives me hope that our contributions can move science forward and create life-changing results for people living with NM.
Training for 26.2 miles is both a challenge and a promise. Each mile I run is a mile we move closer to answers, to therapies that could protect breath, improve mobility, and transform daily life for my cousin and countless others. This race is more than a finish line; it is a statement that families facing NM are not alone and that progress is possible when we come together.
Please join me in supporting A Foundation Building Strength. Your gift, large or small, fuels research that could change lives. Donate today and help Team AFBS race toward a future of effective treatments.
