Help Us Support Gurkha Veterans and Preserve QG Signals Heritage!

Dear All, Namaste,

We are a dedicated team from 242 Gurkha Signal Squadron, 22 Signal Regiment, preparing to take on the PARAS’10 endurance event on 27 September 2025 and later the Doko Carry race to raise vital funds.

Our team—Cpl Sujan Thapa, LCpl Sandesh Ramjali, LCpl Anuj Chetri, LCpl Pavin Thapa, Sig Helson Sambahamphe, Sig Pratik Rai, Sig Niraj Khatri, and Sig Gobinda Angbo—is running in support of two causes close to our hearts:

The Gurkha Welfare Trust (GWT) – providing financial assistance, medical care, and community support for Gurkha veterans and their families. After a lifetime of service, these brave soldiers deserve recognition and care.

The QG Signal Heritage Room – located at Gamecock Barracks, Bramcote, preserving the history, traditions, and ethos of the Queen’s Gurkha Signals. Your support will help maintain displays, artifacts, and regimental culture for future generations.

Why We’re Fundraising

Every donation will be split between these two charities, directly supporting Gurkha veterans, their communities, and the preservation of our regimental heritage. No contribution is too small—every pound makes a difference.

About the Events

PARAS’10 – A gruelling 10-mile endurance race inspired by the Parachute Regiment’s P Company selection test. Participants carry a 35lb bergen (plus water and a weapon) and complete the course as a squad over challenging terrain within 1 hour 50 minutes.

Doko Carry Race – A traditional Nepali endurance event testing strength and teamwork, carrying a doko (basket) over a set distance.
