We are the Harding Miller team - Cara, Caroline, Lisa, Patricia and Mel, the muscle behind the Harding Miller scholarship program - supporting girls in public education across Australia.
Because as a team we love what we do, Patricia, our Events and Marketing Coordinator had a lightning bolt moment and decided we practice what we preach and raise much needed funds to support disadvantaged girls on our program. So, here we are!
Our goal for the virtual City 2 Surf is a whopping $3000! - yes, it is no small feat but this year, of all years we need to be optimistic. The money we raise will cover school expenses such as textbooks school uniforms and excursions for multiple girls who otherwise would go without in 2021. Especially now the need for practical and real educational support for disadvantaged children has never been so critical.
100% of all donations goes directly to the girls we support - so every single cent you give really does counts!

The Harding Miller Education Foundation is a scholarship program for girls who are bright but financially disadvantaged – it aims to give them a leg up with $20,000 worth of tools and resources over four years to enable them to not only complete high school but reach their potential and build direct pathways to tertiary education – it gives them a level playing field with kids who are more well off.
Harding Miller focus on supporting the public education system and support girls because we know that supporting girls leads to stronger economies and communities. We have awarded 478 scholarships since 2016, across 320+ schools in every state and territory of Australia. Applications are now open for 2021 scholarships as well - http://bit.ly/2021Scholarshipapplications.
The scholarships include a laptop, IT support, data, tutoring, online homework assistance, money for school essentials and a personal coach to guide them across the four years of the program until they complete high school. The girls are also part of the Harding Miller Enrichment Program where we partner and collaborate with corporate and commercial businesses across Australia. This program introduces the girls to the world of career opportunities available to them with a completed education.
