Running for Destiny

My niece Destiny Buezo has Cerebral Palsy.  My brother Edgar has fought tirelessly to bring awareness and action to her and other children like her. He started a family running group named East Harlem United Runners in NYC on August 24, 2019.  East Harlem United Runners "Team Destiny" is a family team running for a cause: To give opportunity without restriction to people with disabilities a chance to run or walk.

Destiny has epilepsy, scoliosis, and astigmatism in addition to her severe cerebral palsy. She has endured back surgery, two hip surgeries, a stomach surgery, and several other procedures in the last 10 years. My brothers dream is to push my niece past the finish line in a 2021 TCS NYC Marathon. In order to achieve this she needs a special running wheel chair made custom for her. If you know my brother he is the most selfless, giving, and loving person. He is the rock of his family and works so hard everyday to provide for them.
