Aly Runs a Half Marathon for BLM and CT Bail Funds
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Aly Sivinski and I am a senior graduate at Staples High School. Since my first half marathon my sophomore year, It was always my dream to run in the New York City Marathon and COVID-19 made that impossible this year. Once the Pandemic began and school had been let out, I had a lot of time on my hands so I decided to run my own half marathon around my town, Westport CT, and the neighboring towns. I have been training for the past 8 weeks and will eventually be running my half on June 21st. Due to recent events in our society and the continued perpetuation of systemic racism, I have to decide to use my marathon to raise money for Black Lives Matter and the Connecticut Bail Fund. I am asking for your support in the form of either a flat donation of $13.1 for the 13.1 miles or to pledge a certain amount per mile for each mile. Anything you can give no matter the size is greatly appreciated. 100% of the funds will be split equally between Black Lives Matter and the Connecticut Bail fund. Once again, I greatly appreciate your support!
