On 23rd November, Joline and I will be taking on a half marathon to raise money for Becca — a vibrant, kind-hearted 26-year-old who has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 astrocytoma brain cancer.

Becca has faced every challenge with unbelievable strength, courage, and positivity, even through rounds of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. She now looks ahead to private treatments and clinical trials that could give her more precious time with her beautiful daughter Eliza, her partner Tom, and her loving family.

Every donation counts, no matter how small, will help support Becca’s fight and give her the chance to pursue the treatments she needs.

UPDATE from Becca:

“I’ve now completed six weeks of combined radiotherapy and chemotherapy. I’m currently on a four-week break and doing as well as I can, although I am v tired!

At the end of November, I’ll be starting a more intensive chemotherapy that will last for six months- YAY- can’t wait!

I’ve been in contact with a specialist clinic in Germany about starting immunotherapy. This includes manufacturing personalised dendritic cell vaccines made from my own cells. These vaccines are designed to help my immune system recognise and attack any existing cancer cells and to build long-term protection against future ones. I will also receive the Newcastle disease vaccine and radiofrequency hyperthermia as part of this combined treatment plan; amongst other treatments depending on my bloods.

Because of the ridiculous generosity and kindness shown so far, I’ve been able to book my first trip to Germany for the first week of December. This visit alone will cost over €12,000, not including flights, accommodation, or any prescribed medication. ✈️

The second trip, which must take place around a month later, will be over €30,000, again excluding travel and medication. There will be at least two more trips after that.

In total, the minimum cost for the four trips is around €80,000, not including flights, accommodation, or medication.
