This year I’ll be running the 2025 City2Surf.

Not only is this a personal challenge for me, but I wanted to help raise money for someone in our community who needs a “village” right now.

I’m running to raise funds for my dear friend’s baby girl, Adya. A beautiful 3-month-old who has already faced more challenges than any child should.

Adya has had a difficult start to life and has already required multiple hospital stays and surgeries, with more medical care to come in the months ahead. Through it all, she’s been incredibly brave, a true little fighter.

Her parents, who are loving, devoted, and doing everything they can, are non-citizens living in Australia without access to Medicare or close family support. The emotional and financial pressure of caring for a newborn with complex medical needs is overwhelming, and they need our help.
