Hi everyone,

On September 12th I'm running the Richmond 10k at Kew Gardens to fundraise for the local nature conservation and learning charity, Barnes Common!

They help look after Barnes Common, Leg o’ Mutton and Vine Road Recreation Ground, as well as other local green and blues spaces on behalf of the council. They are also actively involved in several nature conservation, lifelong learning and community engagement projects including Barnes Hedgehogs, Community Growing, Bat Walks, Nature Clubs, Community Events, Habitat creation, Species monitoring and more.

Barnes Common also works closely with the community providing volunteering opportunities for people of all ages. As a volunteer myself, I have seen first hand the good work they are doing helping us all to connect with nature and to do our bit to help realise their vision:
to provide a flourishing network of green, blue and dark spaces within our local, urbanised environment, where both wildlife and local communities thrive.

Donations of any size are encouraged and will all help in the protection and improvement of the natural world!

Give £20 to help get this fundraiser to its goal
