my name is Ben Ferris, AKA Ferris Gump, I'm from Australia ..

It's been a life time dream of mine to runN across America like yep, you all know it, the Legend Forrest Gump..

I am starting in New York and run'N a marathon + a day all the way across America to Los Angeles 4,443km - 2,779mi barefoot and in my own deaigned barefoot Roo Runners socks

ve my dream. Money will be going towards, food, hot coffee, cold drinks, equpment for my trolley, warm clothes as winter is on its way over there and phone credit. The odd hotel room every 500km or so, so I can have a hot shower and a warm comfotable bed to help me heal and rest to keep my strength up so I don't get any injuries as I am NOT wearing shoes and its 3x if not 10x harder and more painful, it is no joke, hence why nobody has done this or not many out of billions of people not many running extremely long distnce barefoot!!!

So ye if everybody can help donate $5 - $10 will help make a HUGE diffrence as the Australian exchange rate is like only $1AU equals .68 cents US..

If not please share my posts and tell all your friends and family as the more people know about my runN the more the odds will help me..

I am like the 2nd Australian to ever runN across America or like one of the 1st person to runN across America barefoot and or in socks.. Yes I know of the barefoot Dutch guy who is walking, but the pain threshold is 10x more painful and harder so please HELP me HELP them for the bigger pitcher of WHY I am doing this runN with no shoes...

Here is my story:

As growing up, coming from a broken family and then soon joined the Army at 18yrs years young as a combate Engineer.

Soon transferred across to become a construction engineer which landed me in remote Aboriginal community's helping build houses and airstrips and as a young fit athlete who had a lot of energy, running apon became and matter of fact always was my way for finding and feeling a sense of FREEDOM and help me FEEL ALIVE, AMAZING, STRONG, UNSTOPPABLE and the way I started to think changed.

Anyhow being so remote and working for and beside Aboriginal people, I started to gain a better understanding, connection, respect and appreciation for them and there way of life and not to mention there talented gift for RUN'N..

So after seeing and learning about there history and the true truth of what happened to them. For all my new America viewers, watch the Australian movie called " Rabbit proof fence" will give you a really good understanding of the tragedy that took place and in which still effects them today..

The year 2000 is when our whole nation stopped and a young Aboriginal girl by the name Cathey Freemon won a gold medal at the Sydney Olympics..

So as I continued to run and got a whole lot better with my running and started to see the way the world was set up and the way it operates and seeing the problem shoes have on people's feet and Nike not helping all these innocent children, I have come up with the idea back in 2015 to design my own barefoot running shoes and so this is where the big turning point started for me after 8yrs of racing all over the world as a ironman triathlete and compete in Kona Hawaii world champs..

I then started long distance running back in 2015 and haven't stopped..

So ye long story short, this is where I have designed my own barefoot running footwear made from socks called Roo Runners and the aim is to help sponsor trouble kids in need who come from broken families like myself and kids who are traumatised and come from a abusive background and GIVE them free socks and free run'N coaching and HELP lift them up and give them a opportunity of a LIFE time to help steer there life away from toxicity, drugs, alcohol, sexual abuse, fighting, jail and suicide.

Plus Nike shoes are very expensive $200 - $300 and made in China and want to make Australia made, Australia owened and help take the financial burden of the broken family's and all us decent humans who CARE help lift them up, as Jesus once said, " If I be lifted up, I raise all men up with me" so we are only STRONG as our weakest family member, friend in our community and we have lost the UNITY in commUNITY and its up to each and everyone of us to help BRING this back as it takes a commUNITY to raise a child!!

So please HELP me HELP them!!!
