Running a marathon to raise funds for D&G Canine Rescue
This is Pedro, he was rescued from squalid conditions with his 6 brothers & sisters at just a few weeks old.
Dumfries & Galloway Canine Rescue took the pups in & nursed them to health before rehoming them, and we were fortunate enough to welcome a new family member into our home.
This charity are amazing, they’re thorough in ensuring the dogs go to appropriate & caring homes, and they rely on donations to continue their brilliant work.
As for me, I’m in my 52nd year and this will be my 6th and very likely my last marathon (knees are going!) I’d like to make it count by raising some much needed funds for a fantastic cause.
I’ll be running the Istanbul marathon - The world’s only intercontinental marathon - on the 2nd November. For clarity, all travel & race costs are being paid for by myself & all money raised on here will go directly to D&G Canine Rescue.
Every penny counts, so if you can afford to make a small donation to sponsor me then it would be hugely appreciated ❤️
Thanks for reading, I’ll post the odd update on here & of course my finishing time. My PR is 4hrs 12 minutes so I would love to beat that.
