Manc Marathon for Endo Uk (Secretly Male Pattern Baldness)

On the 19th of April 2026, I’ll be running the Manchester Marathon to raise money and awareness for Endometriosis Uk — a disease that has had a huge impact on someone very close to me.

My partner Ellie lives with stage 4 deep infiltrating endometriosis. This is a severe form of the condition, and it affects multiple organs. Back in December, Ellie underwent a near five hour long operation to remove as much of the disease as possible and restore her anatomy, with the hope of giving her the chance to live a more normal, pain free life.

Ellie is far from alone. Around 1 in 10 women in the UK live with Endometriosis, making it just as common as diabetes or asthma. Despite this, awareness, funding, and research are very limited. On average, it takes around eight years from the first symptoms for someone to receive a diagnosis — eight years of being dismissed, misunderstood, or told that the pain is “normal.”

In fact, there has been more research into male pattern baldness than endometriosis (Thank god! We can tackle that in next year’s marathon).

By supporting this fundraiser, you’re helping to fund vital research, improve education and awareness, and support those living with this life altering condition. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference and means a lot to both Ellie and me.

Thank you for reading, donating, and sharing!
