*Updated as now we are having to treat Meggy as well :(*

Hi, we're Matt and Sophie, and these are our two cats, Zaggy and Meggy. Zaggy is our 15-month old Ragdoll, and Meggy is our little 6-month old kitten.

All of this began when we had to rush Zaggy to the emergency vet on Monday 9th June, where we were given the terrifying news that he had 200ml of fluid in his lungs, and that he has FIP, a serious and (if left untreated) fatal condition caused by a mutated form of the feline coronavirus (FCoV).

We started treating him for FIP straight away, but as the medication is very expensive, we wanted to do something to try and raise money to help us afford the payments.

And so we so signed up to run the Wimbledon Common Half-Marathon on 7th September, which is a few days after Zaggy should complete his treatment.

Zaggy has now hit day 30 of his 84-day treatment period, but last week we were hit with more tragic and sudden news. Our little 6-month old kitten took a sudden turn, stopped eating, and we had to rush her to the vet at 3am on Friday 11th July.

After running blood tests and scans, the vets have been unable to pinpoint what is wrong with her, and with a veritable cocktail of medications, we brought her home today and have also started her on treatment for potential FIP.

We have been overwhelmed with everyone's generosity, however with Meggy now also needing treatment, we really do need all the support we can get.
