Hi, my name is Tyler, and I’m fundraising for Men’s Talk by taking on a 50km ultramarathon on 20th June 2026.
I’m running not only to support an incredible cause, but also in memory of my late friend, Callum Ewen.
As someone who has experienced mental health challenges myself, I deeply connect with what Men’s Talk stands for. Their mission is to break the stigma around men speaking openly about mental health, create safe spaces for honest conversations, and encourage early intervention to prevent struggles from escalating. They are helping redefine masculinity to include emotional openness, vulnerability, and resilience.
Over the past few years, I’ve been on my own mental health journey, and one of the most powerful tools for me has been exercise. At the start of this year, I discovered a passion for running and decided to fully commit. I began training without a clear goal at first, but when I came across the Perth 50km ultramarathon, I knew that was the challenge I wanted to take on.
This run represents more than just a physical test — it’s a way to honour my friend, support a cause I believe in, and show what’s possible when you channel your struggles into something positive.
