Running 250km in throughout June for Dementia UK!

Story

In support of a club fund raiser with Kong Martial Arts, throughout the month of June I am aiming to run 250km in order to raise money for Dementia & in honour of my Grandfather. This is a charity close to my heart as some will know that one of my life's heroes and best friends, my Grandad Reg, was diagnosed with Dementia with Alzheimers back in January 2022. Grandad was living with my parents & it got to a stage whereby Mum was caring for his needs full time & recently he moved into Ascot Grange Care Home where he seems to be flourishing with the care they provide. Mum & Dad can now enjoy quality time with Grandad. The disease does not just affect the individual, but has a significant impact on the loved ones around them. Grandad doesn't remember much now, or many people, but his personality & sense of humour still shines through & he holds on to special memories from a longer time ago! Some might say running 250km in the month of June is just coasting, but I'll also be taking a day off to participate in a kickboxing grading & 12 hour spar-a-thon & still attending my kickboxing classes & gym sessions in the week and at weekends with the Kong Martial Arts Family! I am aiming to raise £500 to contribute towards the club's fundraising target of £5000! You can leave a message via the email receipt after donation!
