I’m running 21k for Derryquay!

Hi my name is Laura Baker and I am running the Tralee half marathon on the 29th of October 2023. Running is a massive challenge for me and I’ve decided to push myself to my absolute limit for a great cause. I work as a special needs assistant in the amazing Autism class in Derryquay National School located in Derrymore, Co. Kerry. A really important part of this class is bringing the children on weekly outings such a local shops ,cafes, playgrounds, swimming and horse riding to name a few.These outings are vital for the children’s life skills & social skills and the children love it. As our school is located in the countryside transport costs are high and it’s impacting the amount of activities we can do with the children. I’m hoping by me running and raising some money we can make a huge difference to the children’s school year ahead .
