Running London Marathon for rescues & The Running Charity

Hi, I'm Priya - a lifelong animal lover and especially of rescues.

I love running and I love rescue animals so I am combining my two passions/loves to fundraise for 3 cat charities doing some amazing work across the UK and abroad.

The funds will be distributed between and used to buy food, litter and other essentials for the rescues.

UPDATE: 1st Feb: I have completely unexpectedly got a place on London Marathon through The Running Charity!!!

I have increased the target and hope to be able to donate £200 to this amazing charity supporting young people who are experiencing homelessness or manage complex needs.

Clan McCat Scotland - rehoming and rehabilitating special medical needs cats from the middle east to loving homes in the UK and around Europe.

Kitty Rescue Bury - A small, but mighty charity helpings hundreds of cats across the North West of England. They have a network of foster carers and especially help look after very ill and injured cats.

Manchester Rescue cats: Run by a cat rescuer of 30 years, Louise helps injured, older cats in and around North Manchester off her own accord. We recently adopted our newest rescue Mochi from Louise.

The challenge: I have signed up for the Chester Ultra which is 52 miles around Chester, taking place in March 2025.

It is a tough course that takes us through fields, elevation, tough trails and lots and lots of mud. Given the time of the year, weather and type of course, I expect to take upto 17 hours to finish.

Any donations, however small are most welcome to help these small organisations that get no funds and are usually small teams of volunteers, often with full time jobs and spending many days and nights trapping, rescuing, looking after very ill and abandoned animals.
