Running 13.1 Miles to Fight Cancer

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

We are Nez and Khaye, and we are running the Long Beach half marathon on October 11, 2026, to support a cause that has deeply impacted both of our lives.

We’ve each lost family members to cancer, and right now this fight is even more personal - Khaye's sister Honey is currently undergoing treatment for stage 3 breast cancer. Before her diagnosis, she regularly ran half marathons herself, which makes this run even more meaningful to us.

We’re raising money to support:
  • The American Cancer Society, to help fund research and patient support
  • Honey, to help with treatment-related expenses

All donations will be split between the American Cancer Society and Honey. We’ll share updates along the way, including proof of donations.

Khaye is dedicating this run to her dad Ramon who passed from stage 4 nasopharyngeal cancer and mom Yvonne, who we lost last year to stage 4 lung cancer. Nez is dedicating this run to her uncle Junior who passed from lung cancer and stepdad Angel, who passed from stage 4 liver cancer. If you donate, you can include the name of someone you’d like us to run in honor or memory of - we’ll write their names on our shirts for race day ❤️

Every donation - no matter the size - means so much to us. And if you're unable to donate, sharing this page helps more than you know. Thank you so much for being a part of this with us!
