My Dad - who's 88 - has suffered with Alzheimer's for a few years now, and is sadly pretty much non-verbal; certainly not really coherent. My 89 year old mum cares for him, which is exhausting for her of course. I realise that a cure for this cruel disease would probably be too late for my Dad, but if I can raise a few quid to help others in the future, then I'll have done a bit.
