Hello my name is Beau Pinsent and on Friday, November 28th, 2025, I’ll be taking on one of Australia’s toughest endurance challenges — the Kosci 100 Ultra Marathon, a 107km mountain run from Perisher Ski Resort to Thredbo in the Snowy Mountains.

I’m running in honour of my late father, who battled Alzheimer’s, dementia, and cancer in the final years of his life. Watching him go through that journey showed me both the fragility and the strength of the human spirit. In his memory, I’m raising funds to support Umbrella Dementia Cafes, an incredible organisation that provides connection, understanding, and support for people living with dementia and their families.

Alongside this, I’ll also be raising funds for The Man Cave, a Melbourne-based charity helping young men improve their mental health, emotional intelligence, and resilience. Having faced my own struggles with mental health, I know how important it is for men to open up, seek help, and find positive outlets like fitness and goal-setting.

My hope is that through this challenge, I can:

• Honour my father’s memory,

• Support families affected by dementia,

• And inspire young men to take charge of their wellbeing — to start small, build confidence, and set goals that remind them how strong they really are.

Every step of this 107km journey will be for those who can’t take those steps themselves — and every donation, big or small, will go directly toward making a difference in the lives of others.
