This March, the Pelican Roofing team is back in the "Roofus" suit for our 3rd annual Run With Roofus fundraiser. We’re running a 5k every single day this month, but every mile is dedicated to an incredible 11-year-old in our community: Joel Moscovis.

Last August, Joel’s life was tragically changed forever by a gunshot from behind. The bullet hit the C2 level of his spinal cord, which has left him paralyzed from the neck down, relying on a ventilator to breathe. But Joel is a fighter, and his spirit remains as vibrant as ever.

We are running a 5k every day throughout March to help Joel afford specialized stem cell therapy, which will provide hope of regaining neurological recovery. Our goal is to raise $40,000 with the help of our community.

It’s a long road ahead, but Joel doesn’t have to do it alone. We are rallying around Joel and his mother, Hannah, to show them the community is with them. Your donations directly fund the medical procedures that give Joel a future of hope and recovery.
