Running for Good: 55 days, 5 miles every day for Tower Hills
As a runner and passionate vegan, I've always admired people who find a way to combine their talents and conviction to make the world a kinder place. Few embody this more that Fiona Oaks, a world class runner and the heart behind Tower Hills Stables Animal Sanctuary in the UK. After watching the documentary Running for Good, I was inspire by Fiona's dedication to caring for those with no voice of their own and her incredible feats of endurance to raise awareness for the plight of farmed animals.
To honor Fiona's work and celebrate my own journey as I turn 55, I am taking on a personal challenge: Running 5 miles every day for 55 consecutive days starting January 1st. My goal is too raise $5,500 to help Tower Hills care for its many rescued animals, from sweet wooly sheep and handsome pigs, to affectionate cows and regal horses. This challenge represents not just my birthday celebration but my commitment to supporting those who dedicate their lives to giving animals a second change. Your donation will go directly to Tower Hills through GoFundMe.
Together we can make a difference for Tower Hills and the animals they protect. Will you join me in celebrating compassion and resilience?
