Run to raise funds for JDRF in memory of Brendan
Donation protected
On May 5, 2024, I will be running in the BMO Vancouver Marathon to raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in memory of my brother, Brendan, who tragically past away two years ago. Please join me in donating to this noble cause and honouring Brendan's life. All proceeds will go to JDRF.
- In 2022, we lost my brother to diabetes complications after struggling with mental health challenges. My family has collaborated with JDRF, and we are working to create a fund with a national impact in Brendan’s honour.
- JDRF is deeply committed to creating mental health resources for the millions of Canadians impacted by diabetes. It’s an urgent issue, and we’re actively working on launching the $1M Brendan Hunt Diabetes and Mental Health Fund at JDRF by spring 2024.
- We’ve named it after my brother, Brendan, a brave young man who tragically passed away from type 1 diabetes (T1D) complications after years of battling mental health challenges. Our goal is to bridge the gaps in mental health care nationwide to provide much-needed support and resources. Once we reach the $1 million goal, all fund donors will be recognized with a special national public recognition.
- In regards to the fund's progress so far: I’m thrilled to share that we’ve been met with enthusiastic support from fellow industry leaders – and we have raised more than $600,000 towards our goal so far. With the freedom to pledge donations over up to five years, your contribution can shape a path of enduring change and empowerment.
