Run Nic Nac Run Prague and Berlin Marathons 2025

Hi,

I will be running both the Prague and Berlin Marathons in 2025 for charity. Two epic challenge events in two magical cities for two superb causes.

I have pledged to raise at least £1000 for The Brain Tumour Charity. Anything I raise over the £1000 will be given to The Brain Tumour Charity and The Cancer Wellbeing Fund, Ipswich Hospital for Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity.

On 30 November 2024, my gorgeous cousin Marie died suddenly after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. From diagnosis to her passing away, just six weeks. Six short weeks to process the diagnosis, to deal with operations and treatment and for her gorgeous family to go through with her. Utterly heartbreaking for her to have gone through such trauma. She was 45 years old. So young. A wife, mother to three kiddies, daughter, sister, cousin and best friend to many.

Brain tumours and cancers have affected so many of my loved ones and friends over the years, with losing loved ones to the disease or currently watching those they love going through such upset. I have pledged with The Brain Tumour Charity to raise at least £1000 for them. However, I'd like to raise a lot more. They are a magnificent charity that do so much into research and awareness of this horrendous disease.

In addition to this, I'd love to raise a contribution to The Cancer Wellbeing Fund at Ipswich Hospital. In my role at the NHS, I work very closely with this fabulous team. I have also seen first-hand how incredibly crucial amd vital this service is. I used them multiple times throughout my own diagnosis and so to raise some funds for them also, would be awesome. Sometimes the unsung heroes in a cancer journey, the pivotal role they play is beyond awe-inspiring. To listen, to hold, to share wisdom, guidance and advice. The team there are an extraordinary group of colleagues who go over and beyond with their passion, love and professionalism in supporting patients and their loved ones.
