On November 3rd 2024, I will be running the NYC Marathon (42km/26.2miles) to raise funds for Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières).

After needing to avail of antenatal care this year, it really hit home how women in areas of extreme conflict, like Gaza and Ukraine, do not have access to the vital care they need — often at their most vulnerable moments. On top of all the adverse circumstances that shadow conflict, access to vital women's care is drastically restricted. The situation is dire.

I've selected Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières as they put their own lives at risk to deliver medical humanitarian aid in areas of conflict without regard to race, religion, or political affiliation, including for vulnerable women. This global NGO has consistently received the highest ratings from independent watchdogs.

On November 10th, all funds raised here (minus the GoFundMe fees which are automatically deducted) will be submitted to MSF via a separate platform where my employer will match donations 1:1. I will update this site with a receipt of the submission and final amount raised.

All donations big and small will be greatly appreciated. With conflicts worsening, every penny counts.
