Hi my name is Tom and this year, I’m taking on the Yorkshire 10 Mile Run to raise funds for Vasculitis Uk in support of my sister Emma.

I'm running 10 miles for 10 years – one mile for every year my amazing sister has battled Takayasu's Arteritis (TAK), a rare and often invisible form of vasculitis that affects the large arteries. Watching her face this condition with such strength and courage over the past decade has been nothing short of inspiring.

This run is my way of standing beside her – to raise awareness, to honour her fight, and to support Vasculitis UK, a charity that helps fund vital research and offers support to people like my sister across the country.

Every step I take is for her, and for others navigating life with a rare disease most people have never even heard of.
