Run for SNIPSA: Help Homeless Animals

Hello Hey What's Up! My name is John Pena, John, Pena, Shikari (for my gaming peeps). I am here to briefly explain my Why. My WHY pertains to why I am choosing this amazing platform to help me with a cause. The cause at hand is one that I have committed myself to, committed to the extent that I will be running for the first time in 12+ years a half marathon on March 2nd (Run The Alamo Marathon). In doing so I will be running in support of and to raise donations for a charity organization in San Antonio, Texas. This awesome charity is none other than SNIPSA Inc. SNIPSA is a non profit organization that dedicates it efforts and resources to unwanted and homeless animals throughout the San Antonio area. Founded by veterinarians and other individuals SNIPSA goes above and beyond to try and ensure quality care for each animal they help with the goal of one day finding a forever home and family for every animal under their watch. This is the same organization where I have been introduced to one of my forever best friends ZOE a now 14 year old papillon terrier mix who was rescued at 7 months old all those years ago. Hearing about the care they gave her by her foster family makes me want to reach out and try and help SNIPSA in any way I can. SNIPSA can be seen as a voice for our voiceless animals to be heard and found by forever families looking to make themselves complete with an amazing animal addition.
