We’re the Capilano University Kinesiology (CapU KG) team, and this year we’re fundraising for two things that matter deeply to us: supporting liver cancer research and helping our team get to Kin Games.
Kin Games is a national event that brings together kinesiology students from across Canada to compete, connect, and celebrate our shared passion for health, movement, and community. Competing at Kin Games is an incredible opportunity for our team, but it also comes with significant travel and registration costs.
This fundraiser is especially meaningful to us. This past summer, our team captain, Kai, lost her father to liver cancer. Because of this, liver cancer research is a cause that is truly near and dear to our hearts, and one we are proud to support as a team.
We’ve paired our love for movement with this important cause through Run for Research. For every $5 donated, our team will collectively run 1 kilometre. Every contribution, big or small ,directly makes an impact.
To ensure your support goes as far as possible:
50% of all funds raised will be donated to liver cancer research
50% will go toward supporting the CapU KG team’s Kin Games expenses
Liver cancer affects thousands of individuals and families every year, and continued research is essential for improving prevention, treatment, and outcomes. By donating, you’re helping advance this work while also supporting students who are passionate about health, movement, and community.
Thank you for supporting our team, honouring those affected by liver cancer, and helping us turn kilometres into meaningful change.
