Losing Q to gun violence has left a hole in so many hearts that will never fully heal. He had a way of making people feel seen, loved, and important. His loyalty ran deep, his presence was larger than life, and in the nearly 26 years he was here, he made this world better for so many people around him.

Two days after what would have been his 26th birthday on May 28th, I’ll be running a marathon (26 miles for all 26 years of life) in his honor on May 30th. Every mile is for Q. Every mile is for the love he gave so freely, the memories he created, and the impact he left on all of us lucky enough to know him.

To continue honoring his life, this GoFundMe has been created in his memory, with all proceeds going toward organizations that are chosen by the family and friends of Q, focused on preventing gun violence and providing trauma support for those impacted by it.

If there’s one thing Q taught us, it’s this: don’t wait to reach out. Don’t wait to tell people you love them. Don’t miss the chance to show up for the people around you, because you never know how much time you really have.
