London’s Rivers Are in Crisis – Let’s Fix This Together

Right now, not a single one of London’s 41 rivers is in good shape. Every single one is polluted. And this isn’t just an environmental issue - it’s a social justice issue, impacting communities from Harrow to Hackney, from Ealing to Epping Forest.

For too long, water companies like Thames Water have been allowed to neglect and pollute our waterways, putting profit over people and nature. Our rivers should be thriving blue spaces for everyone to enjoy - not dumping grounds for sewage and pollution.

That’s why I’m running the London Marathon for River Action - to fight for cleaner rivers and raise money for the incredible campaigners, volunteers, and river trusts working every day to clean up our waterways and hold polluters accountable.

Change is happening. I’m proud that London’s Mayor, Sadiq Khan, won a historic re-election last year on a promise to build a plan that will clean up London’s waterways. He has brought together businesses and charities and committed over £1.8 billion in investment to tackle water pollution. But he’s determined to do more.

We need urgent, systemic change from water companies, businesses, and the Government. And we need your help too.

Please donate to my GoFundMe and support River Action. Every penny goes towards empowering local communities, raising awareness, and taking action across the country to restore our rivers to health.

Can’t donate? Share this post, spread the word, and let’s demand the clean-up our rivers deserve.
