Run for Mental Health at the Brussels 20k

Donation protected
As part of the 4th edition of the European Mental Health Week, Mental Health Europe (MHE) will participate in the Brussels20k as a Charity Team on Sunday 28th May 2023. The race welcomes the participation of runners, walkers, and people with disabilities.

MHE will provide runners with Mental Health Europe-branded t-shirts and our non-running staff will be present in Parc du Cinquantenaire, where the race starts and ends.

This GoFundMe campaign welcomes donations to support the Run for Mental Health campaign, and other MHE advocacy activities in the framework of the European Mental Health Week.

Run with us
The registrations for the Run for Mental Health running team are officially closed. HOWEVER, we do accept individual runners who cover their own registration and t-shirt fee. If you would like to have more information and run with MHE, please send your name, surname and contact details to: margi.marchetti@mhe-sme.org

What we did
In order to allow wider participation and make the campaign visible, we offered a discounted registration fee to the first 30 participants, and welcomed the participation of any extra runners without additional costs to the registration fee set by the Brussels 20k organisers (28 euros).

Do you want to be an official Run for Mental Health sponsor? Contact us at info@mhe-sme.org for more information.

More about mental health & physical activity:
Physical exercise is proven to have a positive effect on our mental health and to reduce stress levels. The length or intensity of the physical activity is not that important – even small amounts of exercise a day can visibly improve one’s mental health. A 10-minute walk or 5-minute stretching session is a great way to start building sustainable habits that support good mental health.

The Brussels 20K race falls on the last day of the European Mental Health Week (EMHW), a week-long campaign to raise awareness about mental health and fight the stigma that surrounds it. The EMHW will host many events and activities, including the MHE’s Run for Mental Health.
