Maggie, has an incredibly rare genetic condition called mosaic trisomy 10. It’s so rare that there are only seven documented cases worldwide, meaning there’s very little information about what the future might hold. Every child with the condition is unique, so there simply isn’t much to guide us.
What we do know is that Maggie continues to amaze us every single day. Week by week, month by month, and year by year, she keeps thriving. She’s the happiest little girl you could ever meet, always wearing a cheeky smile that brightens everyone’s day.
Maggie has regular hospital appointments and works with a range of specialists to help her reach her full potential. One of our biggest hopes is to see her take her first independent steps.
Although she's now four years old and still crawling (to be fair, she's very quick) we'd love to see her walking, so she can run around, play with her big brother Ralph, and enjoy life standing alongside the rest of us.
This is where Hollie and Woody at Normanton Sports Acro have made such an incredible difference. They provide the most engaging, thoughtful and inspiring physiotherapy sessions, creating a fun environment where children with SEND can build strength, confidence and important physical skills.
Despite working with limited funding, they give absolutely everything to the children they support.
Maggie absolutely loves these sessions, and we genuinely believe they're helping her get closer to achieving her goal of walking.
That's why my best mate, Callum, and I decided to take on a challenge we've never attempted before—a marathon! Neither of us has ever run one, but we wanted to push ourselves for a cause that means so much to us.
On 10th October, we'll be standing on the start line in Lisbon, Portugal, aiming to complete the marathon in under four hours. It won't be easy, but we'll be giving absolutely everything we've got with Maggie in our hearts every step of the way.
Every penny raised will help Hollie and Woody continue providing these incredible sessions—not just for Maggie, but for so many other wonderful children and families who benefit from their dedication.
Big love and thanks to all who are able to donate anything at all it means the world
