January 4th, 2025 I will be running a 50k race in honor of Maddie McCoy on her birthday. Please join me in supporting Maddie’s Promise, a charitable foundation started by my fiancé’s aunt (Ann McCoy), in memory of her daughter, Maddie - who passed away at 11 years old, from rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare pediatric cancer. Maddie’s Promise focuses on identifying and funding the most promising research and treatments available. Amazing progress has been made in recent years.  

Madelyn “Maddie” McCoy made a promise to help others. Until the very end, she was living up to it — creating artwork and a plan to sell it to help those in need. Using her bravery and kindness as inspiration, Maddie’s Promise strives to make Maddie’s next chapter one of positive change for young children battling enormous odds.
