Run for Libya: Emergency Appeal

Libya is currently in a state of crisis after catastrophic floods in the past week. The death toll is currently estimated at up to 11,000 with thousands more missing. Entire neighborhoods have been destroyed in the city of Derna.

We are two junior doctors running the Irish Life Dublin Half marathon next week on 23rd September to raise urgently needed funds for this cause.

All funds will be donated directly to a larger campaign being organized Islamic Relief Ireland, a trusted registered charity. The funds will be used to deliver life-saving essentials to the field including food packs, clean water, warm blankets, hygiene kits mattresses, temporary shelter and medical kits.

We would be hugely grateful for any and all contributions to this cause, which will make a massive difference to the Libyan people in their time of need.
