Run for KnK: Support Children Without Borders
Donation protected
Hello friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters around the world,
After 22 years of military service and 25 years in education, I’ve committed my life to helping others—and this year, I’m lacing up my shoes for one more mission. I’ll be running the 2026 Tokyo Marathon to raise awareness and support for Kokkyo naki Kodomotachi (KnK, Children Without Borders), a Tokyo-based nonprofit dedicated to uplifting children facing some of life’s most difficult challenges.
KnK provides safe spaces, meals, education, and emotional support for youth in Cambodia, the Philippines, and Bangladesh. Whether it’s a Drop-in Center for street children or the “Wakamono-no-Ie (House for Youth),” their work ensures that kids affected by poverty, abuse, trafficking, or conflict have a place to grow, heal, and dream.
Why I Run I’ve run countless marathons over the years—but this one is different. I’m running not for a personal best, but to give these amazing children a better shot at life. Every step I take in the 2026 Tokyo Marathon will be for them.
How You Can Help Please consider making a donation—no amount is too small. Your gift will go directly to KnK’s programs, helping provide:
Nutritious meals and literacy education for street children in Bangladesh
Safe shelters and youth centers in Cambodia and the Philippines
Support for young victims of trafficking and children affected by conflict
Let’s grow together by giving these kids the future they deserve.
Thank you for your support, encouragement, and generosity. Together, we can make a lasting difference—one mile, one child, one act of kindness at a time.
With gratitude, James Strait
