Hi, I am Bikal Rai, a member of 242 Gurkha Signal Squadron within 22 Signal Regiment, currently deployed in BATUK, Kenya trawl outside the United Kingdom.
I am grateful to lead a team of four personnel, which includes (Myself, Madan Gurung, Divash Gurung, and Milan Somai) who are deployed personnel alongside me, where Madan Gurung is my nominated 2IC for the event. We are raising a valuable funds for QG SIGNALS Trust. Despite the busy period whilst in BATUK, our initiative “RUN FOR HERITAGE” is the fundraising event on which we as a team collectively will be covering 242 km running and 242 km of cycling within the span of 7 days . This event will be commencing from 16 to 22 February 2026.
QG SIGNALS TRUST
The QG SIGNALS Trust plays an important role in strengthening the Regiment by improving its efficiency, safeguarding its rich traditions and history, and delivering welfare support to both serving and retired members of the Queens Gurkha Signals. The trust operates across several locations including Brunei, Hong Kong, and Nepal.
Our Aim
Our primary goal is to raise £500 by 27 February 2026 through participation in endurance activities, while promoting mental and physical well-being at our current deployed location avoiding injuries.
