At Bellarine Revival Church, we believe in providing practical help to communities in Africa that face challenges we are fortunate not to experience in Australia.

For several years, our church has supported more than 23 locally managed church farms in Malawi helping provide land, farming equipment, wells and agricultural education. These farms grow drought-resistant crops such as Moringa Trees, Pigeon Pea, Cassava and Sorghum, helping local communities become more resilient during drought and floods.

We are now raising money to install water bores on the plantations. In many locations, the nearest water source can be up to two kilometres away, and people currently carry large buckets of water on their heads to the farms.

A water bore costs approximately $8,000 AUD and will provide a reliable water source directly at the plantation, making a real and lasting difference to the communities we support.

On 31 October 2026, we will run a Trail Marathon on the Surf Coast to raise funds for these water bores.

They walk for water. We run to make change.
