Run for buns
On Friday 18th April, I’m running my first half marathon.
As it’s also very likely to be my last (dodgy knee) and I need motivation to get to the finish line, and it’s Easter weekend and I’ve just adopted a brilliant new bunny (Max) from BARC (Barnsley Animal Rescue), I wanted to take the opportunity to try and raise some funds and awareness of how brilliant BARC are.
It’s their 30th anniversary this year, and in the 11 years I’ve known them, Angie and the bunny team have helped hundreds of rabbits, from adorable babies from unwanted litters to really serious welfare cases. If you’re ever looking at adopting a pet, I thoroughly recommend them. However, a lot of rabbits bought as Easter pets are abandoned by the summer holidays, so the only Easter bunnies should be chocolate. And if you can spare the price of a chocolate bunny or Easter egg to sponsor me in a 21.1km run (!) I would massively appreciate it. I will match the first £50 of donations as I think it’s a brilliant charity.
Thank you!
Kathy (& Max)
