I am Verena- and last week I decided to run 10km for a VERY special cause‼️

You may have heard of the ‘Build a Village’ initiative under the Bishopric of Public, Ecumenical and Social Services "BLESS".

Underpinned by sustainable development, the Bishopric aims to sponsor the development of a village in Egypt over 5 years - ensuring that they are empowered to become self-reliant.

And last Sunday, I decided to run for Al Mabdda, a village located in the province of Abnub, Asyut.

With a population of 100,000, the village is in dire need of reconstruction and an elevation of living standards. The program aims to assist the poor and widows in the village, through establishing long-term micro financial projects.

Here in Australia, Coptic Hope has stepped in supporting the program, as it continues to transcend borders.
