Run Club do the Reading Half Marathon

Yep you read that right, Kathryn and Liz are running the Reading Half Marathon on 3rd April this year!

We're running in support of the IBC Network – an amazing charity that funds research into Inflammatory Breast Cancer, a rare and very aggressive disease.

This is a charity that is really important to us – two years ago one of our best friends was diagnosed with IBC.  Seeing what she has been through the past 2 years whilst also living through a global pandemic and raising two kids is nothing short of amazing.  And the IBC Network has been an important support to her through it all.

Any awareness that can be raised for IBC is so vital - the symptoms can be slightly different to what people usually associate with breast cancer and so it often gets missed.  It does not always cause lumps but more often itching or pain, ‘bug bites’ that don’t heal, swelling and dimpling of the breast like an orange peel.

So if you’d like to sponsor us as we slog our way round Reading town and help raise some funds for this brilliant charity,  we would be very grateful!!!  Together we are going to smash it!  Or least finish :)
