Run Against Traffic

Tommy and Krissi Green attempted to rescue and eventually adopt a young teen who was caught up in the crime of Human Trafficking in 2015. She was so badly abused that she passed away and the reality of taking care of the victims of Human trafficking became a painful reality. The rescue of victims is absolutely essential.  After they are taken out of harms way however,  the gap in complete care and treatment long term is immense.  Committed to see an end to this epidemic of abuse and manipulation in our world, and  with that complex problem in mind Tommy and Krissi Green decide to launch Run Against Traffic in 2018.  We are raising financial resources to aid in the long term recovery rehabilitation and restoration of human trafficking victims.  The vehicle of running and the personal transformation and challenge connects humans to the fight in a unique way. Running will in fact ground you in your body and connect you with the hard steps in life, and running can create transcendent and beautiful moments of overcoming the hard things. We believe that running can hold a key to powerful resource and fundraising efforts. We intent to to mobilize runners and walkers in a concerted and unifying stance against this injustice of human trafficking on the planet. Run Against Traffic is committed to being the #1 charity running team in the US in fundraising for the rehabilitation and long term care of human trafficking victims. In mobilizing individuals and teams to join our charity running community, and putting on running and community events nationwide we believe that together we can put the broken lives back together again and see a future free from this horrible abuse of the wonder and beauty of human life.  Our efforts will go to help fund the local utah based rescue centers, fund high school education efforts around trafficking with our friends at Backyard Broadcasting, support the case work of the AAU, and stand with our friends at Operation Underground Railroad while building our charity running team and organizing events to raise awareness and financial support in community of runners. iRunAgainstTraffic
