Run Across Northern California for Addiction 2024

Hello, my name is Matthew Jordan and I am running across 400 miles of Southern California from Dorris, CA to Lake Tahoe. I have completed two other state-wide runs on two separate occasions: Washington State and Oregon. Last year I decided I wanted to use these runs to make a difference, and because I have struggled with addiction and have also lost many loved ones to it, I decided to fundraise to invest in my local community. Owl's Nest Recovery located in Florence, SC, is an incredible resource in my hometown to those who struggle with addiction. Last year I was able to fundraise 1,200 dollars and it was donated to help provide basic necessities and human comforts to those at the facility. This year I hope to fundraise 2,000 dollars. I want to be transparent, last year all of the money went straight to Owl's Nest. This year, I also need a little help with basic costs such as gas, food, and the occasional hotel. We will be giving Owl's Nest 60% of all donations, 10% goes towards handing out blankets, socks, and food to the homeless of San Diego while we are running through, and 30% goes toward the run itself. If anyone would like to donate to any one of these three things specifically, that is totally fine, but general donations will be split up that way! Thank you so much for your support and I can't wait to see Part 3 of this journey from Canada to Mexico. The route is something totally new and never ran before, just like the previous two runs.
