This January, I will be running 2 miles a day for a total of 62 miles in honor of Rowan, a 4-year-old bravely battling medulloblastoma, a rare pediatric brain cancer.
Each mile is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for cancer research and family support. All donations go directly through GoFundMe to the American Cancer Society, with a goal of $1,000 raised in Rowan’s name.
Here are a few words from her Mother, Kaitlin. “Medulloblastoma is a rare and aggressive brain cancer mostly seen in children. It grows deep in the part of the brain that controls balance and movement, and treating it means putting a small child through things no child should ever have to endure.
For our Rowan, this has meant brain surgery, intensive chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, long hospital stays, physical, occupational and speech therapy, blood and platelet transfusions, isolation, infections, infusions, pain, fear, and so many moments that have felt like our hearts were breaking.”
If you are able to donate, share, offer prayers, or cheer from the sideline, thank you. ️❤️️
Every mile - every donation - every share - and every prayer - is for Rowan.
Thank you for your support,
Tabitha ❤️
