‍♂️ Running 10K for Nikolay Honouring a Brave 10-Year-Old Lost to Brain Cancer

Four months ago, our world changed forever.

My beautiful son Nikolay, just 10 years old, passed away after his incredibly brave fight with brain cancer. No words can truly describe the pain of losing a child, and not a single day goes by without missing his smile, his laughter, and the light he brought into our lives. Nikolay showed more courage in his short life than many do in a lifetime, and he continues to inspire us every day.

In loving memory of Nikolay, I will be taking on my very first organised running event, completing a 10K in Paphos, Cyprus on 8th of March 2026. This is a huge personal challenge for me, but it is one I am choosing to face so that Nikolay’s strength, love, and spirit can continue to make a difference.

I am raising funds for a small grassroots initiative that is just awaiting its official charity number, created to support families facing the unimaginable reality of serious childhood illness — a journey we understand all too well. While the formal registration is being finalised, the care, compassion, and support for families is already happening.

Funds raised will help:

Support families navigating serious childhood illness

Provide comfort, practical help, and emotional support during their darkest moments

Build something meaningful in Nikolay’s memory, helping other children and families feel less alone

This run is for Nikolay.
