Run 100km in April for CRC
Myself and some (mostly very unfit) friends are aiming to each run 100km in April - 1500km in total. We are hoping to raise some money for the Central Remedial Clinic in Dublin.
If you see any of the lads below out running make sure to shout some abuse and/or encouragement- James Melarkey, Jimmy Maguire, Aaron McDermott, Frank Mulligan, Karol Mulligan, Shane McGorman, Dan O’Keefe, Shay McKiernan, Sean McDonald, Mark Caughey, Ciaran Monahan, Jason Lewis, Gary Mullaney and Brendy McBrien.
Our little superstar Charlie has been lucky enough to be attending the CRC for the past few years. It’s a brilliant place, it doesn’t feel like being in a clinical setting. Charlie loves getting to the kids playroom and playground. All of the staff are lovely from Reception to the Physios and OT’s to all of the Consultants. We’ve been very lucky to be able to avail of it all.
The CRC is a voluntary organisation and national charity working with children and adults with disabilities. Charlie is seen by them as part of their national specialist services team, which provide innovative medical and surgical interventions, therapeutic and assistive technology services to children and adults with complex disabilities and rare conditions. The CRC receives funding from the HSE, but also relies on fundraising to make up the shortfall in funding.
Any small donation would be really appreciated.
