I'm completing the “run 100 miles in February” challenge to help the American Cancer Society fight for a world without cancer. This is a very meaningful cause for me. I initially was drawn to this challenge in order to add a contribution in support of my mom, Lynn Manning, who bravely fought and won against Breast Cancer. (She is a fantastic runner by the way and has been a motivator to me in all aspects of life). When I was researching this fundraiser, I did some quick math and realized 100 miles divided by the 28 days in February came out to 3.57 miles per day. If you know my family well, you may know that this number is extremely important to us, because it was my grandfather, Jerome Manning’s, lucky number. 357 has become a spiritual number to me that seems to appear in the most unlikely times and places. This only motivated me further that I was meant to complete this challenge. Thanks for taking the time to read this and to support!
