After seeing pop up ads for this October fundraiser, I decided to take on the challenge presented by the American Cancer Society. In the month of October, I'm running 100 miles to help the American Cancer Society fight for a world without cancer. This is a very meaningful cause for me. This disease has affected my family in so many ways. My boys missed out on meeting their grandma and had the greatest grandpa in the world for way too short of a time. I know first hand how the diagnosis and treatment can affect the quality of our lives. My prayer is that through continued research, such as the support provided by the American Cancer Society we can live in a world where Cancer is a manageable disease or wiped out completely.
